SMU is proud to announce Dr. Ramla Jarrar was appointed as the new Academic Director of MBM Programs at MSB.
Dr. Jarrar joined the university two years ago as a faculty member. She taught several core and specialization courses such as Marketing Strategy and Business Statistics in both the full-time and the part-time MBM programs.
In Celebration of the Global Entrepreneurship Week, this year, AIESEC Carthage at SMU organized a memorable conference “Entrepreneurs in Action”. As the first time SMU participated in the SME annual event, the initiative turned out to be a major success. In addition to being marked by a warm and welcoming ambiance and great music, “Entrepreneurs in Action” was an added value to Business and Engineering students who aspire to start their own businesses.
SMU is proud to announce the participation of Dr. Sana Miladi and Dr. Sana Mami in the 28th edition of the IBIMA Conference held in Seville, Spain in early November.
This annual international conference traditionally addresses a wide range of important themes related to major business fields. The event is organized by the International Business Information Management Association (IBIMA). It serves as a platfrom for sharing academic knowledge including papers discussions and workshop presentations by academics and researchers from around the globe. Following a call for papers, conference participants are welcomed to submit full papers, short papers, paper drafts, etc.
With the appointment of Dr. Khalil Amiri as Secretary of State for Scientific Research and his resignation as Dean of MedTech, Dr. Mahmoud Triki, President of South Mediterranean University has designated Dr. Issam Oueslati the Acting Dean of the Mediterranean Institute of Technology (MedTech).

Several training visits were planned this academic year as an integral component of the Renewable Energy Engineering program. Last month, MedTech junior year engineering students enjoyed a full-day training visit to the Research and Technology Center of Energy (CRTEn) as part of the course “Biomass & Bioenergy Systems”.
An interactive seminar on the “Application of Nanomaterials in the Renewable Energies Sector” was given by Prof. Radhouane Chtourou at the MedTech Amphitheatre last month. Dr. Chtourou is full Professor of Physics and Director of the CRTEn – Research and Technology Center of Energy LanSER Laboratory at the ECOPARK (unique technocenter for environmental science and R&D in Tunisia)
